Moin
Last Friday we went to the IBM Headquarters party with Sawubona music. Extreme cool and really good music! Can we please remove these extremely boring pictures from politican guys and replace them with really impressing pictures about such events. Sawubona is not about promoting politicans! Its about music and africa! And pictures with guys standing next to each other holding hands are not music!
Thanks.

Hi Ansgar,

your statement hits the mark! Direct hit! I totally agree with you. Look at my page to see more from "real SAWUBONA people" @ http://sawubonamusicjam.ning.com/profile/AndreasSchwall

Took some seconds to re-think this issue......I think, both pictures (politicians and musicians) should be here. The "balance" and the "collaboration" between both of them is the key to success. ;-)
Moin, Ansgar,
I agree to you in most points, but for me the main point is somehow deeper below.
As I see it, the project appears to be sometimes troubled by the balance between "community basics" and "make the big bang for the press" - to promote the project.
As long as essential parts are missing or not working for the community, I tend to argue about every big event to demonstrate an empty "building lot" to VIP's. As I see it from the videos and TV spots, there are all the old designs and the beauty but dead SL Sawubona Island in the presentations - instead of our awakened community that has proven to be a-LIVE - and competitive - at Stuttgart HQ.
I would recommend to use some of that energy to bring benefits to the community - practically - like short response times on error reports or upload requests or even unanswered questions.
Did you know that - for months now - students from FH Birkenfeld are waiting to take their share in housekeeping of the blog - they simply don't get integrated by the core team.
If these basics were looked after, I could even stand pictures of "boring" politicians and VIP's that most people abroad won't even recognise....

cd review

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
