Hello Carsten, good piece of music.

But.........you know that I know which kind of music is inspiring you. Therefore to make this song more "vivid" you should think about bringing in "TENSION" not only with the change of the instruments. Think about a rollercoaster........it's the change of tempo (and gravity) which makes it happen........in the gut! You may add a fast solo of the rhythm section (like Peter Gabriels "Rhythm of the heat" / which I like the most since life time -> http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rzwMe-3XVn4). Right now it's more like „Le carnaval des animaux“ (Camille Saint-Saëns) or Ravels "Bolèro".

But it's your pitch! What was your intention? Nevertheless, cool guitar sound and an ingenious fabric of various sounds and classic instruments.

Respect, Andreas!
Moin, Andreas,

thanks alot for those great ideas - I'm working on a short version (like a "radio edit) with less fierce sounds - maybe I'll try to change it a bit into your direction - or what would be better - if you could demonstrate your idea by editing the song - so I would provide the single tracks.

"Rhythm of the Heat" used to be one of two songs I had on my walkman on my way to school before any exam (alternating with Oldfield's "Crises"-instrumental) to push me into power. It always worked :-)

cd review

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
