Agenda Kenya has won a national Kalasha award for best talk show in Kenya. Philo has always got good comments when she has participated but she has never thought they went this deep. Some two years back, Agenda Kenya recognised her as one of its best panelists and asked her to address a breakfast press conference. Now she is happy to read this from the producer whom she asked for a quick comment on her participation so far. Philo feels these comments are greater than winning an award...
Hope you won't find them too much...

"As history is written in the hearts/minds of dear men and gentle ladies of this nation, it shall be said of Philo Ikonya that she is one of the few real Kenyan human rights activists with a real heart and interest of the people. Hosting her on Agenda Kenya TV talk show has often added value in more ways than one, exposed through her persuasive, gallant voice and charismatic demeanor. “I want to see a leader that first and foremost has convictions and principles they could die for,” she asserts on one of Agenda Kenya’s shows that she graced. Reading from her firm avowal, one easily gets a picture of a lady who would not hide behind her wit to advance selfish and merely insincere talk, but one who boldly articulates an honest intellectual discourse, really. The way she interrogates issues, with a deep concern on the feeble leadership of this country, one can only imagine her in the highest leadership position in the society, which she so deserves, by and large.
