@Niran:

From what we see - in fact - from the headliners, your backyard appears to be a bit more difficult than ours - but the sad thing for us is that even wealthy people can be very cruel to each other.....

Still it might be the same set of rules that could work out a mind change which would cure both kind of diseases.

Corrected Version:

___________As Billy said____________

As long as there are children there is hope.
As long as there is hope there are children.
While there are hoping children, there is friendship.
As long as they're in friendship, there is peace.

As long as there's no peace, there's no freedom.
Still while there is no freedom, there is you.
As long as you are there, there's a chance.
As long as there are chances, there's your hope.

Now hoping children's friendship's peace sets free your chance that hoping children's friendship's peace sets free your chance that hoping children's friendship's peace sets free your chance that....

That our hope will go on forever.

Wonderful comments, all. Good to keep it real - we need to be in touch with not just the headlines on CNN but the things going on in our backyards as well.

So many thanks Carsten! It sounds so beautiful and musical already!!
@Winslow.. I am sorry I did not follow your track.. but will. So this dicussion on freedom is powerful since freedom is not free and some people must walk either a long walk, or a lonely walk to freedom or some kind of walk that is not so easy to dance in during.. but one goes on. So, I understand smiles and tears.. and hope and pain. The beauty of it is always to rise up daily to see it, hope in the little words of children, their love and friendship. Hope in the chinks between the stones and in the seeming journey of a cloud..and in musical notes.. What is sad is not to be engaged with all this at all. To live sightless and without ear tuned in to another or to others.....

Philo I do thank you for your communication. In the poem factory I added several poems that I believe collectivly reflect hope. I added these as soon as the factory page was available so you can find my words on the earliest pages posted. I envite you to search for my words there. On my main page I have added my music. I have a song called Smiles with tears that Brian Macdonald completed and he titled it Good will Good Hope. The completed song is on his page. The original song is on my page titled smiles. If you take time and listen to my music and read my words you will see that I have a theme of tears and smiles, pain and the hope of a new day. I thank you for your time in advance. I know that you are busy and I truely thank you.

Somehow when you say what inspired the poem it is good. Glad to know. I like it is simply difficult.. yes, taxes are always fractions on fractures.. and so on.. and good. do you have a poem of hope?

Thank you all for your comments. The person that the poem was about was a solder who came back and could not live with people. He lived in the woods for 5 years before passing away of exposure to natures realities. People do suffer. So does all life as I express in my poem "Simply Difficult".

Simply Difficult

Tax man tax with tax taxation
Adding it up for the fractured fraction
Living it up in a corporate nation
This time is simply difficult

Getting on to relaxation
Drowning out the need reaction
Turn it into active action
This time is simply difficult

Looking for cooperation
Satisfy my satisfaction
Fighting for emancipation
This time is simply difficult

Bend and end distract sensation
Addiction cures and filling stations
It’s a gas and vacant vacations
This time is simply difficult

This time is simply difficult
Explain it now to be
Difficult is simple
The world has needy needs

This time is simply difficult
Sow and plant a seed
Difficult is simple
Simply difficult for our trees

Niran, I have a book, not very fancy as it is full of facts too... about activists. Its title is "What is the use of the revolution if we can´t dance?" Just to say am enjoying what am doing very much. I have only been sad to see some comment on Nigeria on the president not being able to address the people? and also very concerned about our civil society in Kenya. Sometime back a big discussion started on the Chair of the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Chairperson. After much discussion and reading back and forth, it was clear that some people felt he did not fit the bill because he had not qualified according to the act. This led to a kind of split amongst human rights defenders and sadly, a lot of bitter exchanges.. sometimes one likes to think that we can differ without anger but it is not possible when a society keeps on not resolving its issues fully. In oppressed societies people begin to kind of eat each other...high suspicions develop you begin to ask me why am smiling when you are crying...or why am crying and you are smiling or even laughing.. and even why i wear purple and green might become an issue..or why am now looking at snow falling... well!?
