now the new version of "She Only Dares" is finished - nothing revolutionary, but the string into has been removed, some other short takeouts, and sound mix has been worked over completely. It's number 18 in my player - because of the ongoing jury selection I feel I have to keep the songs with the official "Lyrics of Good Hope" up on top.
It's been great pleasure reworking the piece, your poem is still the one with the strongest and most emotional bearing I'd been working on.
Hope you like that version, how do you feel about it?
I'm just working on a remix of your song with a shortened intro - hoping I can use that song to start a new field of collaboration with some friends of Philo.
hi! thanks for invite to be friends..am a bit mixed up... re: 'thank you for the congrats..." which ones? and then...all you need to do is keep writing and come to some reading forums and read your poems...
Philo
hope life has a good performance for you, and reality is close to your expectations.
Just wanted to inform you that you'll find some more music on poems of your Kenian colleagues on my page, and if you have some time to listen, please tell me what you think about it.
Lately, I'm searching some facts about recent developements in Kenya, and I'm trying to collect some art and facts on it together with Philo, Babu, Niran, and others. Could you be interested to join and help?
I'm home a bit more early today because I did some gospel music on a funeral - for one of our musicians left this world much too early :_-(
But in my business and family all is well - hope you are also well.
What did your friends and family say? Did they get distacted from the unpleasent sounds I used for creating a credible athmosphere, or did the message come thru?
The feedback I got is as follows:
+ my wife and both children say they like it - my wife likes the string arrangement, and the children the singing
+ "Professor Tim" said he had to get used to it, but finally liked it, esp. on the "for sunrise" line.
+ Eileen from South Africa picked that song and is preparing to sing it - I'm really looking forward to it!
+ Andreas has suggested to apply more tempo changes - will think about it for the short version
- for those who did not answer my particular feedback request I think they don't like the music.
After all - there are stlll things to come for it! Let's keep it movin'!
What do you think about adding some pure topic facts to a prolonged end coda? Did you find any figures for your country you might want to tell the listener?

Thank you for your direct cooperation this year, it's been great fun working with you on music for your poem.
May 2009 be a year you'll reach your personal aims!

just to mention - I've just put the lead sheet scores online at the Songwriter's Inn here, so Eileen and all that are interested can use it.
Hope you are well and we soon see you smiling on your picture :-)))
