Codex Sawubonae - a proposal

This Is Not Commerce (Codex Sawubonae - a proposal)
Lyrics and Music by Carsten Trotzkowski

This is not commerce ('cause this is charity)!
This is not adverse (it is community)!
This is where we rehearse (our integrity)!
Here your greed must disperse (into sincerity)!

How can they be so stupid, blind and cruel,
Trying making hot money out of breaking the rules
It takes only one spoiler in a hundreds of saints
To suppress all donat… Continue

Culture or Commerce

So, what will this project end like:
a) Commercial music for the world wide average taste
b) Highly cultural stuff for the world wide average experts
c) Both of them: Highly cultural things disguised as commercial music - for the world wide average mock turtle soup

???

Conny

DARK PICTURE FRAMED

Be painfully aware of a dark realization
and the cost to summons and announce with repeating sound intervals.
The upper and lower spheres exchange the fallen.
The alpha and omega is an enigma.
Harvesting and obtaining risk
comes from that which produces formulated consequence.
To look forward intently to that which is or seems right
is religion.
It narrates and coordinates and is correspondent to that which is pared with ebony.
To slay and overwhelm with metal heads
is like a triggered snare created for deception and is temptation in motion.
It is time to commit to a covenant and agree to bind in contract
with an isolated entity distinct from earth and sea.
A royal invitation awaits you to forsake and abandon
subconscious innocence.
Release your burden and concurrently feel giddy and pity.
Pursue your goal and have an appetite to covet it.
The antagonist of brutal alienation and black void
presents opportunity vowing the liquidity of metal
by commanding invincible retribution.
Navigate the under current.
Uncivilized visions will be manifested.
The locus of a point made has one degree of freedom and two points satisfy this linear equation.
Now bound and blown towards the dramatic and dark paintings
irresponsibility becomes excessive pondering over lascivious indulgence
threatening twin towers.
Observe the highest culmination illuminating your horizon.
The ones with courage are enlightened.
Exhale the maternal ending
and universal energy will transform all matter.

BEASTLY ISLE

Black water stinging
Toll bells ringing
Hour glass bleeding sand.
Midnight stranger
Reaping danger
A cause with evil plans
Gazing starboard
A feeling harbored
Anchored to ivory limb
Harpoon lancing
Chase rope dancing
It is time to sink or swim
Lonely sea breeze
Commanding leave
The sleeping boy child
Crying laughter
Sailing after
The white and beastly isle
Golden promises cast
The captain’s mighty wrath
Swept by nautical dreams
Savage sights gleaming
The end of the line is screaming
Tangled in a leeward scene
The foolish man thinks
And twice risen sinks
Searching the solstice sun
But the fearless know
There she blows
And Moby's work is done.

Yes you are correct it is a healing. I did do one thing over the past month or so. I had been listening to the hard core metal and realized that one of my poems could be used for a song. I took the poem and wanted to be sure that I had spelled the words correctly so I got the dictionary out. I reallized that each word had multiple meanings and I got to thinking about the meaning of the poem from a line by line translation. The result was I was able to rewrite or explode the poem into a darker representation of the original. I had written this poem 20 years ago after reading the Moby Dick book. Since I have done this I have found out that one of the death metal bands did a CD and every song was created after reading that book. The translated version of my poem is interesting. The original was called Beastly Isle... the translated version is called Dark picture framed. It is a line by line translation.

Carsten, I hope that you are well. 2010 has not been my year. I stopped playing the guitar. The music is gone now. I know that playing is a habbit. One that has been interupted. I have only done this twice before. Once when I was in the wreck and in my 20's I did not play. I am not sure what the deal is. I am hoping that reaching out to you I'll get back to it. It has been so long at this point I will be starting over from the beginning. Clean slate.

..top secret..ha-ha !! .. The advantage of having started out with very little (hardware or software) is that I learnt to be resourceful.. whatever I find interesting (or free) get's used. I love NI's Absynth but IMHO one has to spend a long time programming the sounds to fit something 'musical'.. these days I prefer working in LIVE - its quick, simple and the FX and Instruments are brilliant. My final mix will still be in Cubase and Wavelab.

With these tools one could take a salt shaker, some delays and filters and create a very special percussive thread to build on... of course I still like my hardware synths (12bit technology!!) not to mention guitars, real FX pedals, amps etc..

Hi Carsten, ja gerne was die musikalische Kooperation angeht.
