Besides that it's the singular "Hello" in Zulu language, it is all of us who will give it a special meaning.
As for myself (since I am simply a hobby musician here), I identify the following pillars:
* Charity project to collect money for township projects in SA to support the poor
* Earn this money by producing new music for "Songs of Good Hope" with amateurs & pro's
* And selling this CD in many different nations
* Go new ways in producing this music: Do it with voluntary musicians from all over the world.
* Do music either individually (old way) or collaboratively (new way) by evoluting it on a web music engine.
* Integrate all multi national people on a Web 2.0 platform like this, or in Second Life.
* Enrich this with poems, videos, art, etc. whatever turns up, or mesh all media up to get something greater
* Encourage individuals from all nations to get a common sense of freedom, peace, respect, care...
* fading out old borderlines, frontiers, barricades that divide people and nations
* Have fun by doing things we usually have fun with, but use them to reach a higher aim
At least that is what it means to me at the moment, or what I hope that it will mean in the future.
To get a deeper view on my hopes and fears for this project, please read the poem "Sawubona Master!" where I tried to describe the critical point were are working on to succeed at the moment, since we all have to change our attitude for being a "collaborative" artist, which may not be easy for all.
Maybe it is a good idea to ask Dieter (Huober) about his personal view, since he invented this project.
Hi Gideon, welcome to Sawubona!!!
We are looking forward to your lyrics and mybe you have musicians among your friend which we could invite into the MusicJam?
When clouds of dust obscure the eye
the tall fails like the little
While clouds of words flood big noise streams
the silece seems so small
The biggest cloud consist of millions,
billions tiny pieces
The smallest word - when placed in time -
will bring the greatest change.
Be welcome, Gideon, to this place
we hope you'll find our findings
We need your little big words here
And sounds to build - our - cloud.

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
