Born and raised in Kenya right at the birth of her nationhood, I have the country in my blood and the rhythms of Africa course through my veins.
The guitar is my lover and has never been far away since I was about 11. My moments of relaxation come when I can doodle around, feeling the six strings and coaxing ideas out of the wood.

Too much to list, but I'm partial to African music since the 60's, from all corners of the continent. My heroes growing up were Fela Kuti, Manu Dibango, Mbaraka Mwinshehe and Hugh Masekela.

Let me know if you are into any idea to carry it on!

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
