Hi Marco!
It seems like you are the man of sound!
I was an audio engineer/producer for several years with CBS and though I am also with IBM doing other fun and crazy things, it would be great to connect with you to discuss Sawubona-related things. Any way I can assist, I would be glad to participate.
Dieter told me to contact you and Werner Acker on the event planning of July 11.
Up to now there was discussion of a life performance of "Back of the Bus" and "Ben"; either unplugged (which I initially offered) or as a band version (which would have more drive).
I could join rehearsals from July 10.
Please tell me if (and what) will fit the programme.
Hey Marco,
the recordings went extraordinarily well. We have the fattest Drumsound ever (partly thanx to our bass drum testing (and Daniel)) and I am also looking forward for tomorrow
are you working on "our" songs (and change them for the better with professional musicians and equipment) or are you producing "HdM-songs of hope"? And how will those fit together with "6mabone" or Lucky's songs? I thought that this is a collaboration project!? Regarding your CD-recommendation: No, I didn't heart of it. Yeah, Pat left the guitar playing as it is. Purified. Simplified. Expressive. Contemplative. Just "Pat". Precious piece of music.
Hi, Marco, welcome to this nice Pleasuredome. I'm also really looking forward on the impact of the "pro's" on the work that's become visible up to now. Might bear some really unexpected turnarounds and discussions that we can learn from.
So if it is eligible to ask: What is your main focus on the project at the moment? Will HdM interact at this stage already or enter with their own productions later?
good to have "the boss" on board. Warm welcome. I'm looking forward to your rating and your comments on our contribution-songs. Hopefully, Lucky will finally "graft" my song by adding this voice. Currently, it's my voice, but I didn't hit any note *fg*.
As a studio enthusiast, you might interested in my equipment. I'm using Cubase4, Focusrite Saffire, IBM Thinkpad Z61p, KORG Midi-Keyboard (20 years old) and some guitars/bass. You a/o your team may change the song for the better by some "level control", EQs or additional tracks........but be carefully, it's played with my "baritone guitar" (d minor)! ;-) (look at my page to see "my precious".)
Hi Marco, welcome to Sawubona!!!
It would be great if you can contact Lucky Thobela, Andreas Schwall und Casten Trotzkowsky - all musicians which are working alredy on the "Songs Of Good Hope" and 4 July.

"Hi Carsten, bin heute seit langem mal wieder auf Sawubona gewesen. Hast du die Geschichte mit den Digital Musicians schon gesehen oder getestet? Wie geht es so, was macht die Musik?

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
