Moin, Peter & Ouma,

I hope everything is still "Yeees, OK" with you, and the cigarettes have at last been (not) found ;-)

Just wanted to tell you I did a complete new "Ouma Part II" which is online now. It's less dramatic than the old version, and has found a better singer, really. Hope you like it!

You'll find it to the top of my page player, as usual.

Moin, Peter,

no problem, it's a pleasure for me to help. As technocrats we sometimes assume that the whole world knows what we know :-)))

Your way to listen to the songs largely depends on the bandwidth and connection quality of your internet connection.

a) If you have a "fast" connection:
* Simply click on any links that read "Carsten Trotzkowski" like in the header of this reply
* This will take you to my page here.
* Find my playlist on the left side and press the play button
* You can navigate through songs like with a real CD player - the old version is a bit down the list.

b) If line speed is slow (e.g. when using a plain modem device):
* You can start like a), but maybe playing is interrupted since music data is not flowing fast enough
* Press the Pause button on the player to save your nerves and wait until the little bar in the player has filled completely (may take some time).
* Then, the song is completely pre-loaded and you can use the back arrow button to start playing from the beginning
* Press the Play button that replaced the Pause button

c) If a) & b) does not work, the player may be of no use for you.
*You will have to go to the Music Factory to download the mp3 file to your computer to play it locally.
* If so, please let me know, for newest version might not be there visibly already

I would be glad if you asked anything you like if you need more information!

Greetings to Ouma & whole Mbelengwa family!

Moin, Ouma & Peter!

Hope you are doing well, and I hope you can help me on an important point:

Please check out new finished "Grooving Ouma Part I".
I need to know if I went to far by exhilarating that version - since this song tries to draw a sympathetic but comic view on your long lasting relationship, so you might not like the results - it's not easy to maintain the balance between fun and respect, esp. when addressing it to multiple cultural backgrounds simultaneously - so please be honest with the reply, for every change is possible!

Thank you very much in advance!

Cheerio, Ouma & Peter! Dear Mbelengwa Family!

I've just heard some funny news that might be of interest for you:

You are now on your way to become subject to "cult" !

That is, an old friend of mine phoned me up a few minutes ago, and said "Hey Carsten, I#ve been to your Sawubona website lately, and downloaded one of your songs since I was on search for clever ringtones for my new mobile phone. I took that "Yeees, O-K- boom-boom-boom" song."

So please just imagine it's now your peculiar quotation that is on the mobile phone of a Major at Germany's Air Force, and will be heared there every time he receives a call from - as he said - "important people" (his V.I.P-list) - and the phone will say ""Yeees, O.K- boom-boom-boom" on that occasion :-)

Now, bet you never thought of that, did you??

Please stand by since I'm still on that grooving rebuilt of your song!

Moinmoin, Peter & Ouma!

hope you are well and questions about the storage place of Peter's cigarettes and [...] are settled in perfect harmony :-)

I began the rebuild of your song, so please have a short look at demonstrational track No. 5 on my page player "syncdemo", and tell me if this kind of merge of Ouma's voice into the song makes sense for you ears, or if you suggest to do it in a different way. The beat style, (removed) choir and other things will be adjusted next.

I'm also asking the same to Lucky and Dieter, for at this stage it will be most easy to change everything on that song with only little effort.

After all, it shall be a real community production!

I'l be happy to hear from you,

:-) Carsten (-:

Moinmoin, Peter & Ouma!

So glad you've made it real. Will start next week to take the sample Lucky provided to make it a better song. That's what you really deserve.

What are the names of the birds that have been singing in the background?

cd review

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
