Welcome Volora! In my assessment, your work and gifts reminds me of feelings of listening to the gaints of jazz...(and) I loved watching your video. I noticed that you interviewed Dizzy, and as you may know his last manager was Charlie Fishman who lives in DC. Charlie's close friend Thembi Mtshali is my close friend who introduced me to Sawubona. Once again, it is a small world that we live in. For example, my childhood friend's father Teddy Stewart from Kansas City, Missouri was Dizzy's drummer in the late 50's thru early 60's. In the mid-80's in DC, I ran into Dizzy at 34 & Mst N.W. in Georgetown, I introduced myself as a child who grew up across the street from Teddy Strewart from Kansas City who played in your band as a drummer. Dizzy smiled and said, how do you know that I'm Dizzy? I said, I'm from Kansas City, I know your face like I know the face of Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Betty Carter, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, etc. He said, okay you're right. Then we shook hands and embraced each other. I invite you to join my page as a friend.
Hi Volora, our "USA Ambassador" for Songs Of Good Hope is Brain McDonald - you find him in our community. Brian compased the song "Rainbow Scatterings" - you will find this song as frist song on our Homepage in the player. Maybe it makes sense for you to phone or contact Brain - he can also very well explain you the project.
Hi, yes please ask me any question you have. You want to learn about, what we are doing here?? Unfortunately, the video of my last project is not subtitled yet (it's an interview with a famous german actress and her pre-school in german), but it will be available in English, Italian and Greek soon. Meanwhile, I will give you any support you may request.
cheers, Andreas

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
