Music was definitely my first love! Already at a very young age, I realized the importance of this wonderful art. Music does have a real influence on our society and as musicians we do bear a high responsibility when we create and perform and communicate. I try to do my stuff by keeping this perspective.
How did you come across this Community?
By chance... if such a thing really exists... and of course because of my band BALCONY AIRPLAY, who wants to contribute something special to the Sawubona project. We have the feeling, that we owe the world something...
Your favorite music
Not easy to answer. There is plenty of good stuff around. But certainly, I do favourize music, where I can feel the heart and soul of the ones having created it. And I do not like destructive music.
Your favorite author
A writer does about the same thing as a musician. Therefore, for me, the same values count.

Hi Markus, finde euer Good Hope echt super. Viellicht sollten sich die Süddeutchen und Schweizer mal zusamentun und sehen was dabei rauskomm. Dir schon mal ein schönes Weihnachtsfest. Der Orchestersound ist einfach phänomenal.

cool - first I thought, it was OMD, then my inner eye saw Brian Ferry and Roxy Music - but at least with the start of the female vocal, it became a really great and unique song.
Hadn't expected such a high quality surprize this late in the project - but you say it yourself: "Make it better and go on", and that is what you did, you went on, and something better has been made.
In my personal Sawubona charts, this new entry just went up to the top. Had it on now for three or four cycles - won't be the last.
Here were are again back to prejudices: The Swiss people are not famous for acting veeerrryyyy faaaast, but Swiss precision is really unmatched!
Hi Emdi,
saw you join us now. If you like help us to realise the Sawubona Songs. Look at the Site of Carsten on Groups or on my site. If you need more information or like to comunicate in German, you are welcome. Conny from Stuttgart
P.s. You know by chance "Oriana Krizten", Violinist from Swizzerland, she is a friend of mine
Hi MD,
since I saw your picture with the accordion, I feel sure, that you will bring a completely new flavor to this music-jam. I'm looking forward to your contribution.
cheers, Andreas
well, I simply replace coffee breaks by cultural allures. For I don't like coffee anyway, and I attend many meetings so I won't grow lonely :-)
I suggest you could look around a bit on this site, for we have some promising pieces of art here already, but still a lot of community work on music to do - as for myself, I am constantly trying to arrange alliances to join forces in music production, not only to have "individual" songs, but a song made by many people from different corners of the world, to build a bridge between cultures.
Moin, Emdi, and welcome to this site. If you are looking for a link between music and social responsibility, you are definitely right here. We have so many lyrics and poems here that really have something to say.
Since you refer to "musicians" as "we", I suppose you make music yourself.
If I may ask, what instruments and styles do you favor, and how about singing or composing?
Hi Carsten, bin heute seit langem mal wieder auf Sawubona gewesen. Hast du die Geschichte mit den Digital Musicians schon gesehen oder getestet? Wie geht es so, was macht die Musik?
Gruß Conny

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
