thank you for the kind words. I'm also here for the learning, esp. on how to improve the way I make music. I live in the "off" where you don't find many bands or musicians to join, so in the last years my music was limited to be played for family and friends only, so this is finally a promising portal for me to get in touch with other musicians and other styles and point of views.
Don't worry you have to push yourself to anything - I claim that here we all should do the things we have fun with. The point is:
If you want to (learn to) compose, of course you are welcome, but if you don't, that's really ok - let us find musicians within the community and work together and let them do it for you.
If you like to do poems, just join in an look at the influence it might have on the others.
My question aimed at your skill in the theatre field. A musical performed "in cyberspace" is still something new, at least something unusual. But there are many parallels to real theatre, since we need a story, dialogues, performing voices (like in a radio drama), and operators controlling the avatar actors, and a director who trains and controls them. Therefore, I was simply wondering if you (as a "theatre specialist") could imagine to take any of those parts - not right now, but maybe in the future if I find enough supporters for this idea.
It's simply a dream,
Still some come true
Still most are gone
The next morning.
I would like to place a very special question for the "far" future (since we are on many current topics now).
I once had the idea that - if we have enough songs of good hope - we could use the time between CD production and the SA Soccer Worldcup to make it a musical (you can hear a possible headpiece on my page "Good Hope Intro Musical"). Not a common musical, but one in Second Life with virtual characters, that act in a virtual scene, being directed by their avatar-owners, and with music / video streaming, with parts of the music being performed life.
So as I read you are running a youth theatre group, I was wondering if you could be interested in such things. Please let me know!
Hi Patrick, great to meet you on Sawubona!!! We are looking forward to work with you together. Maybe you have musicians among your friends to involve into the MusicJam project, too?
Hi Carsten, bin heute seit langem mal wieder auf Sawubona gewesen. Hast du die Geschichte mit den Digital Musicians schon gesehen oder getestet? Wie geht es so, was macht die Musik?
Gruß Conny

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
