This Is Not Commerce (Codex Sawubonae - a proposal)
Lyrics and Music by Carsten Trotzkowski
This is not commerce ('cause this is charity)!
This is not adverse (it is community)!
This is where we rehearse (our integrity)!
Here your greed must disperse (into sincerity)!
How can they be so stupid, blind and cruel,
Trying making hot money out of breaking the rules
It takes only one spoiler in a hundreds of saints
To suppress all donations needed to ease the pain.
Just who told them this world is a self service shop
Where you'll fight with your elbows to get all of the crop
Just who told them on Earth only the strongest survive
That you care for your own's sake but for nobody's life.
It's so easy to tear down what the people erect
Must be fun to play puns till the artist's abject.
Must be brave when you place poisoned baits for a zest
Letting do us all work, run away with the best.
Have you really just missed what our mission shall be?
Does our site look like boot sales where you'll raise your own fee?
Is our artwork mistakable? Is all Africa free?
Is Apartheid a laugh, or is hunger a glee?
Our site shall make music to raise funds for the poor,
All the artists take part out of payroll for sure,
We build collaboration to enhance what we do
While the audience tells us what is right for a cue.
Yet some so called professionals try to make an abuse
Giving nothing from them, but taking all they can use
They place music like ads to sell for their own accounts
Like a wulf in a sheep's flock, fleece donated amounts.
