Music Is The Language Of Love - Interview with Elischeba Wilde

Interview with Elischeba Wilde (reigning Mrs. Germany 2008/2009)

Music Is The Language Of Love
Mrs. Germany, Elischeba Wilde, wants to support SAWUBONA

She lives in a world of beauty and fashion, but she stays really connected to the real world. Above her involvement for Ady, a nine year old child from Senegal, Elischeba Wilde wants to support SAWUBONA help projects, too. Elischeba, the reigning Mrs. Germany and Andreas Schwall, IBMer and SAWUBONA musician, met for an interview.

Andreas Schwall:

Elischeba, you are the reigning Mrs. Germany. Everybody knows MISS Germany. But what’s behind MISSES Germany?

Elischeba Wilde:
Small but mighty is the ring on my right hand. I am the reigning Mrs. Germany of the U.S. Mrs. World Organisation. It is the same organization but for wives. It’s the only organization who gets up with beauty contests for ladies with a marriage certificate. Although some organizations got up with contests for mature ladies but they didn’t had to be married. The intention is that of presenting a happy married couple and especially wives who embody the idea of a fortunate relationship to a husband or children with charisma and the experience of life.

Andreas Schwall:
That is to say the most beautiful wife of Germany. Tell me more about the women behind Mrs. Germany. What are Elischeba’s affections?

Elischeba Wilde:
At this moment, my darling prepared a wonderful dinner with a glass of Merlot from New Zealand. I appreciate the haute cuisine and take in to exquisite restaurants. Additionally, I am passionate diver. I love travelling! I also enjoy reading biographies and I am a great pet-fool. When catching sight of bobtails in the street, I soften on them. I enjoy meeting with friends, serious discussions, SPA hotels and the music of the 80’s. By all means, travelling is my biggest passion.

Andreas Schwall:
IBM started a charity project called SAWUBONA which is one-of-a-kind. Its purpose is not primary helping with money than through bringing together the people and overcome geographical and cultural frontiers and go to a good cause. Why is a photo model campaigning for SAWUBONA?

Elischeba Wilde:
Since 2005, I am a mentor of a godchild in Senegal (Ady, 9y). In general, I love to support projects which help people to find new ways to get out one’s misery. I often ask myself how it would be if I would be homeless. Getting food for free wouldn’t have a long lasting effect. I’d need support and guidance to get a job and an apartment. That’s crucial. SAWUBONA supports people in need to collaborate independently. A long-term strategy and continuous support is very important. I’m a great fan of SAWUBONA and music connects all the people on earth. Music is the language of love which is understood by everyone in every culture.

Andreas Schwall:
Correct. Music is the key to collaboration without frontiers. Are you playing an instrument?

Elischeba Wilde:
I have learned to play guitar when I was a teeanger. My first boyfriend was a musician – I was very impressed. He gave me lessons. I had much fun with this but I discovered my talent in writing, posing and presenting in front of a camera. I’d wish I could sing even better, because singing is a very special gift. Music is magic and can put you into a very good mood.

Andreas Schwall:
What attracts you most when thinking of Africa or hearing the music on the SAWUBONA blog?

Elischeba Wilde:
Music is emotional and powerful. I love Africa since I was a child. I had some playmates from Somalia in my home town (Cologne). The girls were so sweet. Their big eyes, their braids, their dark skin. I was fascinated and I desired to look like them. In 2005 I travelled to Kenya and I got bewitched by the beauty of this land. I feel with the "White Massai". And the people have grown very near to me. If you are looking in their eyes, you feel the warmth they give off. And the warmth touches you, even if you cannot understand their language.

Andreas Schwall:
South Africa is facing some changes due to the visibility of the Soccer World Championship. What do you think of these “changes”?

Elischeba Wilde:
I think it is a great chance and promotion for South Africa. I am not an expert on this topic and I wish all luck and success for this premiere. I am convinced that South Africa will be a splendid host and I hope that the nations of the world will recognize their responsibility.

Andreas Schwall:
You are right. The international community of states carry responsibility and have to contribute their share to preserve the unique wealth of South Africa. What could be the contribution of SAWUBONA to succeed?

Elischeba Wilde:
SAWUBONA will help the PEOPLE. It will start off collaboration and will help generating new jobs. The positive vibes of the championship combined with this wonderful project will help making them beneficial to the PEOPLE.

Andreas Schwall:
You are very involved in supporting children and charity organizations. I think it must be difficult to overcome these dried opinions that being Mrs. Germany goes not with social commitments. How will you rise to this challenge?

Elischeba Wilde:
I faced so many extremes in my life. In some cases I had hard times in my childhood. On the other hand much luck, love and warmth since grown up. I came to know both sides of life. Being beloved and being disappointed by somebody. Getting support by someone and being frustrated and hindered. Being adored and being derided. When I was a child I longed for support and help. Consequently, I would like to pass this help and support to children. I experienced so many good things in the last few years –even being Mrs. Germany has a deeper significance- that I would like to do my share.

Andreas Schwall:
I remember well, when I got in touch with you. As I asked you to join the project you spontaneously agreed being a SAWUBONA ambassador. What means „ambassador“ to you?

Elischeba Wilde:
Being an ambassador means total commitment to the project and its goals. I will help presenting and promoting the project. In the past, I helped raising funds for „sunshine4kids“. The donors realized a vacation for awkwardly situated children. I would call it „win:win“ for all concerned parties. It was a great promotion for the companies and the kids got a unforgettably experience. At the first moment, I was the unapproachable Mrs. Germany to the kids who is living on the bright side of life. Since they realized that I once was „one of them“ and that I achieved my goals through positive thinking and getting support by marvellous friends, we finally got together. Working with the kids meant even more to me than all admiring glances on the catwalk. This is insignificant, but helping kids is more important and has a deeper meaning.

Andreas Schwall:
That all sounds magnificent! Assumedly, your emotional commitment to the people and your deep understanding for their problems and needs is not that visible at any time. Especially when thinking of a photo model. I really appreciate, that we won the most beautiful wife in Germany as ambassador. What is next on your schedule? And what will you do first being a SAWUBONA ambassador?

Elischeba Wilde:
In the next few weeks I will have some „photo shoots“ and I will present a big event in Dresden (Germany). Moreover, I was invited to a TV casting. Hopefully, they liked me, because I had a good feeling about this. I will help SAWUBONA when you need me. I would like to appoint my talent to these wonderful people. As we already discussed, Andreas, we will surely put some ideas into practice. I am looking forward to a good collaboration!

Andreas Schwall:
Yes, we will work it out! I am looking forward to a close collaboration with you, too. Thank you very much for giving me and the SAWUBONA community such interesting insights about both Mrs. Germany and Elischeba. Siyabonga!"

Elischeba Wilde:
Uyamukelwa!

cd review

by Norman DarwenThe first four tracks encapsulate Arkansas-born Billy Jones. ...a wicked, raw, live version of Albert King's 'Personal Manager', 'my Hometown', a bleak, stark portrayal of the ghetto set to a busy but laid-back and bluesy musical commentary that epitomizes what some have defined as his "gangsta bluez" (...though it is perhaps even better on 'Ain't Good Lookin'), the rocking, rollicking, down-home, and subtly Howling Wolf inflected 'Blues Comes Callin'' and the bluesy/ reggae…See More
