I think your song is great and it reminds to so many songs and a mix of emotions. It is solid handcrafted music and a very catchy tune. Your arrangement is (as expected) sophisticated!

sehr schön das neue Lied. Nur, wie soll ich es sagen, ich habe den Eindruck das die Musik und der Gesang von der Abmischung her noch nicht optimal sind. Zumindest hört es sich für mich auf dem Computer so an als ob beide Spuren noch ein wenig zu weit voneinander getrennt wären. Aber die Musik, die Instrumentierun, die Tiefe der Melodie - einfach Klasse. Höre gerade das Lied danach, ist ja ein ganz anderer Stil, ist hier aber für mich augewogener- wenn du verstehst was ich damit sagen will. Bis demnächst, Conny

Hi Carsten, ja hier ist alles im grünen Bereich. Aber schon traurig wie diese Seite einschläft. Die CD ist gemacht, jetzt scheinen sich die "Macher" herausuhalten. Verbringe jetzt nicht mehr so viel Zeit am Computer. Irgendwie bin ich gerade etwas ausgepowert. Da tut es gut, daß ich am Mittwoch für 3 Tage "einfach so" nach Amsterdam fliege. Werde mir gleich mal den neuen Song anhören und demnächst kommentieren. Gruß Conny

Yes you are correct it is a healing. I did do one thing over the past month or so. I had been listening to the hard core metal and realized that one of my poems could be used for a song. I took the poem and wanted to be sure that I had spelled the words correctly so I got the dictionary out. I reallized that each word had multiple meanings and I got to thinking about the meaning of the poem from a line by line translation. The result was I was able to rewrite or explode the poem into a darker representation of the original. I had written this poem 20 years ago after reading the Moby Dick book. Since I have done this I have found out that one of the death metal bands did a CD and every song was created after reading that book. The translated version of my poem is interesting. The original was called Beastly Isle... the translated version is called Dark picture framed. It is a line by line translation.

Carsten, I hope that you are well. 2010 has not been my year. I stopped playing the guitar. The music is gone now. I know that playing is a habbit. One that has been interupted. I have only done this twice before. Once when I was in the wreck and in my 20's I did not play. I am not sure what the deal is. I am hoping that reaching out to you I'll get back to it. It has been so long at this point I will be starting over from the beginning. Clean slate.

..top secret..ha-ha !! .. The advantage of having started out with very little (hardware or software) is that I learnt to be resourceful.. whatever I find interesting (or free) get's used. I love NI's Absynth but IMHO one has to spend a long time programming the sounds to fit something 'musical'.. these days I prefer working in LIVE - its quick, simple and the FX and Instruments are brilliant. My final mix will still be in Cubase and Wavelab.

With these tools one could take a salt shaker, some delays and filters and create a very special percussive thread to build on... of course I still like my hardware synths (12bit technology!!) not to mention guitars, real FX pedals, amps etc..

Hi Carsten, ja gerne was die musikalische Kooperation angeht. Bin mal gespannt wann ich in der Richtung mal wieder was auf die Beine kriege. Hier sind so viele verschiedene Dinge die gerade parallel laufen oder gelaufen sind so daß ich nicht mehr richtig zur Ruhe komme. Nehme jetzt ein paar Tage Auszeit und fahr mit einer Freundin und dem Lidl-Ticket entweder nach Wien oder Hamburg (am kommenden WE) . Aber wir bleiben auf alle Fälle in Kontakt , vielleicht werde ich ja im Sommer wieder aktiver und kreativer. Lieben Gruß Conny
